As detailed in the Telegraph, HandEnergy helps you charge your phone by “rotating your hand”. This causes the device’s gyroscope to produce energy to give your phone some of that extra juice (the faster you go, the more power you get). 19 year old Michael Vaga got started at Kickstarter, where instead of the intended 50,000 euros, he made a banging 71 thousand!
The production and development of this product took over a year. The intended audience for this product were the people who spent a lot of time away from a power source. To fully charge a device (obviously, the more rotation, the faster) it can take between 40 minutes to an hour.
For all you environmental lovers out there, you’ll be happy to know that not only is this charger good for emergency situations, but it also is a good source of clean energy!
The distribution of HandEnergy will start in March of this very year at a cost of 99 euros, so that is definitely something to look forward to!
