If you haven’t ever played, seen, discussed, or even heard about the Atari 2600, then please don’t call yourself a gamer.

Atari VCS

Similar to the Atari 2600, the new Atari VCS looks practically the same, and is making a comeback – with an Xbox themed controller, a JOYSTICK, and the actual console.

I could go on and on and talk about the design, but what you see is honestly what you get. That’s the good thing about these old school machines – there isn’t anything fancy. No hidden buttons, no secret passages, just buttons and a controller.

For those asking, the Atari VCS will run old and new Atari games (as well as some PC games through Steam!)

Starting at $199, the IndieGoGo Page allows you to pre-order this major #throwback starting May 30th!

The Atari VCS comes with a custom-built processor made by AMD (known for building microprocessors for the PS4 and Xbox One).

4K resolution, a modern streaming device, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB portability, and data storage, the Atari is more than what is used to be.

Atari Vault: Access to over 100 games from the Atari past - including Asteroids, Breakout, Gravitar, and Missile Command.

So before you start saving up for what could be the Play Station 5, you might want to consider the console your parents grew up on (mine didn’t, so I’ll probably still shoot for the PS5).

That being said, if you do want to buy the Atari VCS, I’d recommend going through the IndieGoGo Page since it will probably be a hundred $ or so cheaper than if you buy it anywhere else.

If you do end up getting it, let me know your thoughts. Cheers!
