Do you want a 19 pound notebook?

We know of many people who prefer laptops over notebooks since the latter are small, fragile, not-as-powerful. Get ready to be amazed.

Acer recently presented the world’s first notebook with a curved display.

This one’s for all you gaming addicts out there.

At CES 2017 (“a global consumer electronics and consumer technology trade show”), Acer announced their 21-inch (which seems extremely normal for a “notebook”, right?) notebook: Predator 21X, which according to Polygon, will be released next month for a low cost of $8,999. If you want to be the best at your Dota’s, WoW’s, and LoL’s, you got to invest some big ones!

There is so much hardware on this piece of equipment (including a 2560 x 1080 display resolution, 64 GB of DDR4-2400 RAM), that it literally weighs over 19 pounds (you read that right). Have fun with that workout if you ever plan on taking it out of your house.

The list of specifications is intense, and you can learn more about it in the Polygon website linked above (hover your mouse over it!); but for sake of curiosity the major technicalities include:

  • 64 GB memory
  • 2000R curved screen
  • Eye Tracking (for you to keep them eyes focused)
  • 5 storage drives, 5 system fans, 9 heat pipes
  • 4 speakers (for those high quality sound effects)
  • and much more.

Lastly, if you’re more of a person who needs one big piece of tech in your comfort environment, definitely check out the Predator Z301CT (30-inch gaming monitor)
