Mobile World Congress 2018

Why wait for each tech company to release their new phones one by one when once a year all of them release it at the same time? Get hype for the S9's, Nokia 6's, and much more!

Recently I wrote a couple articles about the CES and even recorded a few videos on it. If you haven’t already, do check them out.

Mobile World Congress

Similar to the CES, what makes the Mobile World Congress different is that, like the name implies, it mainly presents a huge variety of smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, and even mobile trends (5G).

We’ll have the pleasure of learning more about it from February 26th to March 1st. However, I’m sure that a quick Google search will show you a few leaks.

Asus

The MWC will host the launch of the Asus ZenFone 5.

Although there aren’t many detailed specifications out, I’ve understood that Asus is coming for the iPhone X. Wait till I show you how this phone looks, you’ll not know the difference between this and the iPhone.

There isn’t any FaceID on this device, but it does have a fingerprint sensor and a USB type-C port. The ZenFone 5 will release alongside it’s cheaper companion – the ZenFone 5 Lite.

asus… I know right?

Huwaei

Huawei’s P-series phones have been P8, P9, and P10, so logic tells us the next phone will be a P11. However, just because Apple can skip the iPhone 9 and jump to a letter, doesn’t mean other companies can’t alter sequences too.

Rumour has it that Huawei is coming out with the P20 soon and comes with a free camera.

Wait. No. The phone itself is comparable to a camera. With a possible 40 MEGAPIXEL TRIPLE LENS CAMERA (do I need to caps lock that again?), a 5X zoom, a 3D depth front facing camera, and so much more. Brr.

Nokia

If there’s one phone in the world that deserves the “indestructible” title – it’s the Nokia 3310.

Nokia 6 is coming in strong at the MWC. Expected to release in China first and costing around $237, this 5.5 inch display comes with a 16 MP camera, and an 8MP face cam. With 4G LTE and powered by Android, this Nokia phone might end up being a great go-to.

Others,

Google is set to be one of the big boys there and showcase a number of initiatives around their virtual assistants. We also know that Blackberry is coming out with their absolutely beautiful KeyONE! Samsung is coming in very strong with rumours of an S9 on the way, I’ll be sure to get in a review soon enough; and so many other companies with their surprises.

Is there any phone you’re looking forward to?
